DAY 79: Shop My Closet Seersucker Suiting

Mood: Shining

Weather: Really Warm & Sunny

Outfit Purpose: Appointments & Stylist at Work

Style Savvy: I know it’s “officially” Fall but I’m dragging out every single summer piece I have until I can’t wear them any longer. I had to look stylishly professional today but didn’t want to worry about getting wrinkled and being hot, so I wore this seersucker suit and lightweight cotton tee all by PrĂªt-Ă -Porter. To keep the sun out of my face I paired my black/white fedora hat, oversized cat-eyed sunnies and for a pop of color my H&M snakeskin printed clutch and Jimmy Choo fuchsia pumps. For jewelry, I layered a rose gold necklace (smaller one) with a yellow gold black/crystal pendant necklace (longer one and recent birthday gift), paired a rose gold Van Cleef & Arpels bangle with a yellow gold panther chain Anne Klein bracelet and oversized rose gold diamond hoop earrings. Personal Style:  Turf Meets the Surf

Thoughts: Okay so I realized several things over the past couple of days. Tonight I realized that it takes me much longer to edit my photos of the day and write my blog when I’m watching The Voice on the tele. Like 3 hours longer instead of an hour. Secondly, I’ve realized that I’m not ready to put much effort into cultivating a new romantic relationship. I want it to be easy. That may sound a little selfish but I’m okay with being a bit selfish. If I choose to date right now, I want it to be light, fun, effortless … is that unrealistic? It’s also better if I semi-know someone instead of meeting for the first time, unless if it’s Will Arnett (inside thing amongst a few friends).

The third thing I’ve realized is that I do live in the moment and can be present in every situation even when I’m not feeling so great. Like when I attended a friends birthday party over the weekend. I wasn’t in the best emotional state but I was able to take a deep breath before I walked into the party and be there in the moment to enjoy the evening. I didn’t want to bring negative or sad energy into the party. Besides, why ruin a hot outfit and slammin’ high heels?
