This Week’s Savvy 7 Beauty Products #1

Rounding up my weekly SAVVY SEVEN beauty products I’m using and crushing on. I figured this is a fun way to share my favorite beauty products I’m loving at the moment. If you like these roundups, subscribe to my blog to get my articles direct to your inbox.

LOUIS VUITTON COEUR BATTANT

I have a confession to make. I have expensive taste in fragrances. I don’t know what it is but my nose follows the pricey scents. This LV fragrance is light enough for an everyday scent yet has a bit of mystery.

Perfume should be worn and not saved, per the education I’ve received from a couple of Perfumers. I know girl, I hear ya on reserving the expensive spritz for special occasions. But don’t. Perfume does go bad after a year. So sad.

For other fragrances I still rotate in my scent collection, see HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE.

TOO FACED LIP INJECTION EXTREME

I haven’t been a fan of any plumping lippies on the market because they sting too much or make me break out. I was hesitant to try this one when I received a few samples. I was really surprised how much I like this plumping gloss.

It does slightly sting for a couple minutes but after the buzz wears off, you have a plumper kisser. And no breakouts for me, which is super because I have sensitive skin. I’m really impressed with this formulation.

URBAN DECAY 24/7 WATERLINE EYE PENCIL

I love the look of black eyeliner in the waterline area. Every eyeliner I’ve used before always disappears after a couple hours. I asked my sister, who’s a HMUA, which eyeliner works for the waterline? She suggested this one from Urban Decay. She uses this eyeliner on her brides. Makes sense because a lot of tears are flowing on wedding day.

I’ve been using this eyeliner for about a year and you know what? It really does work!

BEAUTY PIE AMAZING SLEEP OIL

Pick of the Week: I discovered Beauty Pie a couple of months ago after being sent a few samples of a cleanser, overnight face mask and eye cream. I’m still using and 3 products which means I’m a fan. BUT what finally sold me on this brand is the story.

The founder Marcia Kilgore, also founder of Bliss Spa and Soap & Glory decided to unveil the curtain of the beauty and skincare industry on how much it really costs to make a luxury beauty product vs. what you pay. She also shares how there’s about 12 labs around the world specializing in creating specific beauty/skincare products.

Most beauty brands use these labs and the labs formulations. A brand may tweak a few things here and there but for the most part most of your beauty products are coming from the same labs.

There’s an amazing interview with Marcia on RISE podcast with Rachel Hollis. It’s a must listen. LISTEN TO EPISODE 128 HERE.

Ok, let’s talk face oils. Yay or Nay? I’m a HUGE YAY, like crazily obsessed with face oils. If I haven’t tried one yet, you betcha I’ll be trying it. Beauty Pie’s Amazing Sleep Oil is decadent. I literally want to bathe in it.

What I love about this face oil is that it’s feels lightweight going on but has massive performance come morning time. AND it smells heavenly. My skin looks so smooth, bright and refreshed in the morning after applying it before bedtime.

PAULA'S CHOICE SKIN PERFECTING 2% BHA LIQUID

I’ve been boasting about this product for almost a year now. I stand firm on how I first described PC’s Exfoliate … “It’s like botox in a bottle.” I’m not kidding.

After you glide this over your face with a cotton pad, your skin looks tighter and smoother. I suggest waiting 2 minutes to put on other skincare afterwards, like your moisturizer. You’ll see the full transformation of your skin. It’s crazy!

I use this in the morning and at night. Yes girl, everyday! And remember, I have sensitive skin. If this were harsh or aggressive I wouldn’t be using it at all, let alone daily. So if I can use a skincare product daily, it’s a winner in my beauty cabinet.

BENEFIT 24-HR BROW SETTER

Lately I’ve been having a love/hate relationship with my eyebrows. I accidentally over plucked them a few months ago, so I’m letting them grow out to reshape with a fuller brow. The one thing that’s helping to keep my brows in check is this clear gel brow setter from Benefit.

I’m already a fan of Benefit and love they’re other brow gel that has a color tint. But if you want your brows to stay put, this is a must have.

CLARINS HYDRA-ESSENTIEL BI-PHASE SERUM

Clarins is one of my go-to skincare brands. I’ve been using their products for years. I know which products I can depend on to combat certain skin challenges. I’ve shared about this bi-phase serum before (see HERE).

During the chillier drier months, I use this hydrating serum daily. It’s almost like an “essence” which doesn’t leave your face oily just super hydrated. It’s like splashing on facial goodness before your moisturizer and sunscreen. I wish this came in an extra large bottle because I go through it quickly.
