Outfit Purpose: Fashion Week San Diego
Style Savvy: Today I had several events to attend, most importantly #FWSD for the Spring/Summer 2014 emerging San Diego designers so I had to look my most fashionably savviest. It just so happens that I own this Runway Collection dress by BCBG Max Azria from his SS13 collection. I know most ladies would think since this dress has a lot of color and texture, accessories might need to be simple. Heck no! I played up the whole tribal/world traveler theme with this dress and paired some amazing accessories. I’m a big fan of yellow gold jewelry especially with black and green color combos. And the pièce de résistance, AMAZING feathered platform heels by Enzo Angiolini.
Personal Style: Fashion Girl
Thoughts: Feeling restless today. Actually started feeling it on Wednesday but just realized it today (wink). I think it’s because I want to get rooted and more settled in my new city. If I’m going to be here for at least a year (maybe longer who knows) then I want to make the most of it and make a living while I’m here. None of this driving up to L.A. business every flippin’ week. Although I still need to go there but trying to do it less, once a month would be ideal. I’d like to find some personal styling clients in San Diego while I’m doing my style segments on the morning news and keeping up my blog, YouTube channel and contributing style columns. I still don’t feel like I’m connecting in SD yet. I know for the short amount of time I’ve been here, it seems like I have and maybe I have but I don’t feel it in my bones.
Oh and it’s 90 DAYS … 3 MONTHS of not shopping any fashion whatsoever today! This is truly incredible for me. I deserve that Saint Laurent bordeaux small structured handbag that I keep lusting and writing about. OK, maybe not just yet but for sure at the end of my 365 days challenge, I will truly deserve that freaking handbag! I still can’t believe I committed to a flippin’ year!! WTF was I thinking, good gawd!
