Style Savvy: Here’s a perfect example of how to take a summer maxi dress and still wear it in the Fall months. I paired a Calvin Klein long sleeve t-shirt underneath my H&M dress (worn on Day 15 HERE) along with stockings, Steve Madden boots and H&M navy faux fur collared jacket. I threw on a few long chained horn pendant necklaces to keep the bohemian factor in check and voila…comfy yet chic outfit for running around town. This outfit is actually more comfortable and less constricting than my yoga/workout wear.

Thoughts: I’m only 4 1/2 months into this challenge and man does it get arduous. Although I had errands to run, a few calls to return, and take my outfit photos, I’ve been reflecting today on my year thus far. It’s almost the end of 2013 and so much has changed in my life. I went from celebrating my 6 years of marriage in March on Caya Caulker in Belize to my husband and I parting ways a month after.
I uprooted my entire life and moved to San Diego to stay with my mom in a state of shock and devastation. That’s how this challenge came to life. I was numbing out the pain by shopping and blew through my savings in 2 months. To keep accountable and share my experience, strength and hope … I decided to go public with this and blog daily.
I’m sharing about healing and hope. This is a journey of how I’m rebuilding my self-confidence, empowerment and living in the moment. It’s not fiction. I’m an open book (except when asked by others to keep certain things private). I write from my heart and head which gets a bit squirrely sometimes. I have no clue what my life will be like when this challenge ends next year on July 7th. All I know is that the ride has been amazing so far, even with the highs and lows.
One thing I know for sure is that I do want to find love again. No matter how heart broken I was, I’m willing to take that leap of faith.
