After owning several homes and a rental, finding the right cleaning products are essential. I used to be that person who used 409 for everything, yikes! But making large property investments, there’s NO WAY I’m ruining surfaces with my old ways of cleaning.
Even if you hire someone to clean your place, I highly suggest having these different cleaners on hand and share which ones to use for tile, marble, wood, softer stones, etc. You’re not being bossy, you’re just sharing savvy.
Here are my favorite, most effective surface cleaners I use religiously for a sparkling home.
GRANITE CLEANER
Not only does Better Life cleaner protect your granite surfaces, it’s made with plant-derived cleaning agents from soy, coconut and corn.
STAINLESS STEEL CLEANER
I’ve tried several cleaners for stainless steel and these wipes are the BEST! Leave everything looking brand new.
LAMINATE CLEANER
If you have engineered flooring or laminate surfaces, this natural cleaner helps protect your surfaces while giving it a great clean. I love this is safe for pets.
GLASS CLEANER
I’ve used Windex forever but I noticed that I was cleaning mirrored and glass surfaces more than I’d like. Invisible cleaner is a bit pricier but worth it!
WOOD FLOORS
I have three floors and two sets of stairs that are all reclaimed wood. Wood flooring needs special care to keep it clean, polished and protected. Bona is my go to.
MARBLE CLEANER
I have a few bathroom counter tops made of marble and found MarbleLife cleaner the best for cleaning. Marble is slightly porous, so make sure to use marble specific cleaner.
