Shop My Closet: Summer Jumpsuits

Style Savvy: I’m making my summer style easy and effortless by incorporating a few new pieces that don’t require much styling. Can you guess? Jumpsuits. Jumpsuits have made a huge comeback and I don’t suspect they are going away. It’s a nice alternative to a dress. The only challenge with a jumpsuit is when you have to use the restroom, oy.

A good way to restyle a jumpsuit is to use different accessories from jewelry to shoes to handbags. Also try layering a shirt, jacket or sweater and using belts to create shape/definition.

The jumpsuit I’m currently wearing and loving is by Who What Wear at Target. I’ve styled it here for a more elevated look. If I want to go for a casual vibe, I’d pair flat slides, a straw hat, cross body or belt bag and no belt. Want more jumpsuit options? Check out my Top Picks HERE.

What’s Going On: I don’t know where to start to make this brief. So I’ll start with this first. My fiancé and I decided to reschedule our wedding from this October to next June. His dad is battling cancer so his family is focusing on his health. They also live on the East coast and we’re on the West coast which makes traveling this year challenging for his family.

Honestly, I think at this point we might elope somewhere beautiful in Mexico and then throw a party next June. I’m looking into packages. If you have any suggestions, leave them in the comments below.

In other news, I’ve been unplugging from social media more often. Since it’s part of my business this is challenging. I’m trying to direct my focus on launching a workshop and online course for new bloggers. There’s a lot of information to share and I don’t mind sharing the “secrets” that nobody talks about. Lastly, did you know I was a graphic design major? I’m always looking at the styling, photography, layout, packaging design of everything. I’m a visual person, obvi. Filter apps for photos are huge and now Presets for Lightroom and Photoshop have become the newest obsession. I’ve created a Preset package for Lightroom users HERE.
