National Wedding Planning Day

Now that I’m 7 months out from my wedding day, I’m starting to get all the details in place. It just so happens to be National Wedding Planning Day on March 1st, a convenient reminder.

I’ve been unsure of a few things but luckily I have WeddingWire as a resource. You can too, it’s free! I’ve been using WeddingWire since day one of planning my wedding and it’s been super helpful. Their articles are the best! I’ve been consuming so much information and advice from these articles.

I’ve expressed how I love the checklist and creating your own wedding page on WeddingWire in these related posts (HERE and HERE) but I’ve recently found that their articles are where I’m getting the most benefit in finalizing a few things.

What few things? Well for starters picking a color. Usually people pick a color to use throughout the theme of their wedding but I’ve been torn so this article really helped in deciding that I don’t need to pick one specific universal color (read HERE).

Another challenge for me and my fiancé is deciding on the menu. What are we going to serve? Our wedding is an outdoor garden setting with a SoCal vibe. I originally thought a couple of food trucks would be cool. My fiancé thought that was super cheesy.

Also many of my friends are vegetarians or gluten free, so that’s also something to consider. I want everybody to enjoy the food. I’ve attended a few weddings where the food was meh. I don’t want that at all. These articles were super helpful to shed some light on the whole wedding menu dilemma (read HERE and HERE).

We’ve also been mulling over having a bridal party and grooms men. I personally don’t want to have bridesmaids but my fiancé wants to have a few groomsmen. I think it’s easier to have a maid of honor and best man that way if someone isn’t included in the wedding party, feelings don’t get hurt.

These articles were helpful in deciding what route I want to take with the whole wedding party issue (read HERE).

These three topics were really the only challenges I came across in planning our wedding, other than that I think we’ve got most of it covered. See how it all unveils (get it??) by subscribing to my blog. Thanks for reading! XO, M

*Since I posted this we had to reschedule our wedding for June 2019 unfortunately due to a family health issue that came up.

*This post is a paid partnership with WeddingWire, all opinions expressed are my own.
