July: Favorite Skincare Masks for Summer

It’s been quite a hot summer this year which means upping my skincare routine. I was never a “let’s do a mask” type but I’ve found since using them over the years, they do have benefits.

I thought masks were something fun and nice to treat yourself with once in awhile. I never thought they truly did anything for my skin but was mistaken.

Summer right now is hot and dry where I live so I need a lot of hydration since I have dry skin. I also like my skincare to even my skin tone and give me a glow. Not to much to ask for right?

Savvy Skincare Tip: I keep all my masks in my Cooluli [ SHOP HERE ] or your fridge will do.

Below is a list of my favorite skincare masks I’ve been using this summer. Let me know if you try any of them by taking a photo and tagging me on Instagram @savvynista.

Elemis ULTRA SMART Pro-Collagen Aqua Infusion Mask

This mask makes my skin feel ultra hydrated, plump and smooth. All the things I’m looking for with my skin type. This mask has a triple action system from instant moisture boost, skin barrier to help reduce water loss and hydrating algae actives to keep skin moisturized throughout the day.

Elemis Pro-Collagen Hydra-Gel Eye Mask

These eye masks are a must have especially if you tend to wake up with puffy eyes and dark circles. That’s me! I’ve tried other under eye masks but found I love this one the most for puffiness. It also lessens fine lines around your eyes.

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Sheet Mask

I’m a fan of Tatcha, especially their Dewy Skin range. This face sheet mask does not disappoint! This mask delivers a healthy drink of ultra-hydrating botanical oils and extracts for a dewy glow in just one use. If you missed my review on this line, CLICK HERE.

Glo Skin Beauty Phyto-Active Firming Mask

I’m already obsessed with their Phyto-Active firming face oil, so I wasn’t surprised that I would love this mask. Unlike the other masks I’ve listed in this article, this one dries tight. Hence “firming mask”. It definitely makes my skin feel tighter while boosting the radiance of my skin. This blend of Instalift Goji, Citrus plant stem cell, platinum and pearl extracts helps to recover strength and refine texture for your skin. Hand up!

Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask

I’ve been using this mask for over a year now. This is my “go to” in the mornings when my skin just needs a big boost of “wake up”! It has a slight tingling effect which I love because I know it’s stimulating circulation to revive my skin. In the morning I splash my face with water, pat dry, then put this mask on. I go about my morning routine so I can let the mask do it’s magic. If you forget to rinse off, it’s fine. You can actually just rub it in your skin.

Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Moisturizing Reviving Eye Mask

You know I love my Clarins if you’ve been reading my blog and following me for awhile. They just make great products. This eye gel mask feels cool when you swipe it on under/around your eyes. Try to avoid getting too close to your eyes. This also has the same effect as the Elemis eye masks I mentioned above. I switch back-n-forth between the two. I tend to use this eye mask more at night, whereas I use the Elemis one in the mornings.

Clarins SOS Hydra Refreshing Hydration Mask

This icy, cream-gel mask feels so good on my face especially after being out in the sun or poolside during the day. It contains organic Leaf of Life which is super quenching, visibly plumps skin and renews radiance. I switch back-n-forth between this one and Tatcha dewy skin mask. But this one has more of a “cooling” effect than the Tatcha mask.

Joanna Vargas Twilight Mask

This is another sheet mask I love but on the pricier side. Definitely worth to have a few on-hand. I’m obsessed with JV’s supernova serum (runs $295 a bottle) so of course I had to try her mask. What I love about this mask is that it works to stimulate skin growth at a cellular level for optimum brightness and resilience. It also has natural antioxidant and natural anti-inflammatory. One being Arbutin which helps to inhibit melanin as a natural skin lightener/brightener.
