How to Style a Vintage Modern Fall Tablescape

Now that I have a new expansive home to entertain in, I’ve been more interested in styling my home than myself! But home decor isn’t cheap especially if you have to buy furniture which I do. Since some of my bigger pieces will have to wait until next year, at least I can make do with the little things.

I already own a variety of accessories/decorations for my home. Some vintage, some new. To create a Fall inspired dining table that suits a vintage modern aesthetic, I mixed what I owned with a few new items from Home Goods to create a Fall tablescape. This completely aligns with how I shop my closet. Instead it’s home decor.

With styling my outfits for Fall, I think of light layers. This is the same concept I use in styling my dining table. I already owned these table runners, white linen on the bottom and wool plaid on the top. Instead of just using one table runner, I layered both runners giving the table more interest.

My dining table actually seats 10 people but I don’t have chairs yet, so my setup for now in this photo is for 4 people. But at least you get the idea of how the place settings look.

I’m a fan of mixing prints and textures with my outfits and home decor. These elements give the table more interest from napkins, napkin rings, placemats, plates, candle holders, and center piece. Below you can see how I put my style tips into action. Also a fun surprise featuring my mom, sister and nephew.
