In this new world where mostly everything is done virtually, why not a skincare consultation as well? This was definitely new and I wondered how it would work. I’m going to share the process and also share a link to the actual live video consult below.
Your skin is the largest organ on your body. Scary to think right? And for some reason, we take it for granted and don’t always treat the health of our skin like we would other parts of our body.
I know I had this mentality up until around my mid 30’s when I started seeing all kinds of crazy showing up on my face. Yikes! From that point forward, I was on a mission to do whatever it takes to get my skin in optimal condition and educate myself (and you) on the newest skincare products and treatments.
Being connected to many pros in the skincare industry is definitely a plus which led me to find Kelly Horton-Beeman, Skin Coach and Licensed Esthetician. She makes it very simple to book a virtual consultation. After you pick a date and time, you’ll answer a series of questions to help provide information about your skin challenges, upload a photo of your face and photo of skincare products you currently use. That’s it.
On your scheduled appointment day, log into Zoom and Kelly will go over everything with you. This is where she suggests various treatments and products.
With my consultation, she suggested a Fraxel treatment to help with my uneven skin tone, fine lines and pores. She also suggested products to use to prep prior to my Fraxel treatment. THIS WAS NEW TO ME.
What? Prep my skin? I never knew it was better to do this prior to treatments. But it makes so much sense.
Kelly suggested using products from ALASTIN Skincare. This is a licensed approved (medical grade) skincare range with patented technology.
So far I’m into week one of prepping my skin for Fraxel and I’ve been using these products from ALASTIN:
