Just when I think there aren’t any surprises for seasonal trends, designers change my perception with their unexpected color palettes. During Fall months, the timeless color hues are deeper and richer in tone. If you’re about being bold and setting yourself apart from the typical autumnal shades, try a few of these unexpected color trends.
PISTACHIO
This is definitely one color I wasn’t expecting for Fall. Don’t feel you have to be literal with this color. You can find various tints from lighter, brighter to muted tones of pistachio.

TIGER ORANGE
Almost like a naval orange color for summer. This pop of color for Fall makes sense as it’s in the pumpkin color family. This shade of orange pairs nicely with shades of pink, purple, red and green.
HOT & COLD PINKS
Any shade of pink from light to bright to deep with a “blue” undertone. Meaning less of a red or orange hue to it. Try combining two solid pieces, one Pink and one Red for the ultimate Fall color block trend. Featured on the Emmy Awards Red Carpet this season.
BUTTERSCOTCH
Not quite mustard yellow, not quite caramel. It’s basically a blend of those two shades. This can be considered a neutral color for Fall and will complement other Fall colors like gray, burgundy, purple, pink, bronze, orange, browns, teal, and emerald.
PURPLE HUES
Deep jeweled tone purples are always on trend for Fall but the unexpected tints are a shockingly bright purple to a muted lilac. Expect all shades of purple to be the color you see most during Fall.
Would you try any of these color trends? If so, would you go bolder and pair two of them together? I’d love to see this. Tag me on Instagram @savvynista.
