Style Savvy: This whole week I’m piecing together outfits that are monochromatic in color. Today I’m featuring all white. You’ll start to notice, if not already, that many brands and designers are on the monochromatic trend. What’s great about doing this with your own pieces is that you don’t have to “match” the color to each piece perfectly. Actually a shade or two off is fine. Add texture with accessories, even a jacket or scarf. It’s also a great way to give yourself an ultra slimming effect.
Today was so flipping hot I needed to break out my white denim American Eagle shorts, light cotton Joe Fresh t-shirt (worn on Day 7 HERE & Day 36 HERE) and my 3.1 Phillip Lim heels. As the evening got chillier, I had my ASOS white blazer (worn on Day 4 HERE & Day 31 HERE) to keep warm. All my jewelry is a mix of vintage baubles and my classic Timex watch (worn also HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE).
Personal Style: Monochromatic White
Thoughts: Got a pep in my step, it’s a new day, new perspective, new outlook. I’m glad I put my mood of the day with this challenge. It goes to show that we all go through different feelings throughout the day and how we can change our mood at any point if we want. Sometimes, I choose not to and wait until the next day. Not always but it happens. Maybe wearing all white today and the sun beating down on me melting my makeup off had something to do with putting me in a lively mood. I think I get excited on Sundays because the day after is Monday which means the start of my work week. I’ve mentioned this before that I LOVE Mondays! I use to dread them like most people, but not anymore. What’s your favorite day of the week and why?
