DAY 39: Shop My Closet Cali Street Style

Mood: Indifferent

Weather: Another Gorgeous SoCal Day

Outfit Purpose: Out & About, Date Night

Style Savvy: When I find a designer or brand that works with my style sensibility, I’m a loyal customer. I’ve loved Single by Galina Sobolev for many years now. She designs pieces that fit a woman in all the right places and uses amazing textiles, colors and patterns. That’s why you’ll see many of her pieces rotating in my closet for my “outfits of the day” posts during this challenge.

This bomber jacket says to me, “I’m a Cali Girl” because of the bold graphics and colors. I got a little crazy and paired it with this amazing peacock feather print layered maxi skirt (Single). I kept my accessories simple with a gold bangle cuff, Moroccan gold earrings, Marc Jacobs clutch bag and Christian Louboutin knotted silk high heels.

Personal Style: Cali Girl Street Style

What’s Going On With Me: I twisted my right ankle the other day wearing my high heels while walking the streets of Beverly Hills and it has been hurting ever since. I haven’t worn heels until tonight at this Timex Style Watch event held at L’Ermitage Hotel in BH and boy was it hard to walk. I sucked it up but I think I need to pop some more ibuprofen. And if you know me, I love wearing my high heels.

Earlier today I was feeling indifferent because I’ve been in L.A. and have SD Guy with me so it feels strange. Not because of him, because I still feel out of place in my life. Not career so much, just personally. I’m still torn with giving San Diego a shot or do I move back to L.A.? Should I be dating right now or am I still too vulnerable? All these lame ass thoughts taking up space in my head making me edgy one minute, weepy the next minute, shut down the third minute, squirrely the fourth minute, cranky the fifth minute, insecure the sixth minute and so on, and so on. After letting all those crazy emotions run its course, I’m usually fine but need a nap.

Thoughts: Pause when agitated and don’t react. If I practice this action I usually can move forward from whatever was making feel sick to my stomach. This also helps so you don’t have to make a string of apologies for whoever was in the line of fire whilst agitated.
