Outfit Purpose: Chillin’ / Out & About
Style Savvy: Hot weather calls for the lightest weight of cotton fabric possible in an outfit that’s not constricting yet breathable. This striped maxi dress with a sleeveless sweater was hidden in the very back of my closet. I’ve had these pieces for about 3 years but as usual, was tired of it so I haven’t worn them for over a year! This entire ensemble is still relevant today because it’s in classic colors (grey & white), classic print (stripes HELLOOO) and classic cut (maxi dress). I added a few black accessories for a pop and I’m out the door.
Personal Style: Coastal Chic
What’s Going On: Got into the introspective mode today. I don’t know how it happened it just did. Maybe it came from the heart-to-heart chats I had with a few of my bffs on the phone today. I can be completely honest with them and they get it. I’m living that motto “be careful what you wish for”. Positive things are happening right now and although I’m grateful, I’m also in some fear. I revert to old thinking and my head starts to concoct reasons and ways to self-sabotage these nuggets of goodies given to me. It just blows me away how after all the internal and spiritual work I have done over the years, I can easily go backwards. Yet one thing I do differently is that I don’t act upon anything immediately. I sit still, stay in the present and see what unfolds. That is progress.
