Style Savvy: It’s Monday. It’s sunny. It’s warm. It’s Southern California. It’s St. Patty’s Day. So, I broke out a very Springy dress by one of my fave brands, SINGLE by Galina Sobolev. For accessories, a great pair of heels and my Birkin. I know it seems cliché … florals for Spring but this Spring season it’s a must.
Personal Style: Spring Chic
What’s Going On: I know my mood states “indifferent” and that’s because I woke up to shocking news in the fashion world. Designer L’Wrenn Scott committed suicide by hanging herself with no note left behind. To be in such a dark place and feeling like there was no other way out is something I’m familiar with. The sad thing is when a person is in this spot, I’m speaking from experience, one feels all alone even though it’s not the truth. I know for me it was hard to reach out and tell people how I was really feeling and thought I could just deal with everything on my own. I find it’s so much easier to open up and share what’s going on.
Just at the end of last year, L’Wrenn launched a capsule collection with Banana Republic for fall/winter 2013 and I was bummed out that I couldn’t buy any of these pieces due to being on this no shop challenge. Not only will she be missed, her fashionable creations will be missed.
