Style Savvy: When I’m on the road either driving, flying or on a train … I still like to be stylish but comfy. Today I kept it simple with all black except for my navy blue silk cami underneath my BCBG Max Azria sweater (worn HERE, HERE & HERE) paired with my Punk Royal button fly pants, Zara ankle boots (I get compliments on these boots every time I wear them and I’ve had them for 2-3 years now) and rockin’ my Love Tatum “knowledge” tree necklace.

What’s Going On: I had to guerrilla style it with my photos today via an iPhone, although I did have my pro-cam with me … it was too complicated to explain how to use it, etc. The lighting in this part of the train station was alright but outside lighting during the hour I was waiting would’ve been better. Oh well! Can’t have everything when I pulled an impromptu travel up and back down the West coast. This is the part of Shop My Closet Challenge that proves to be challenging at times, the picture taking.
I had an opportunity this week to fly up to Northern Cali then travel back down the coast and stay over night at a few hotels. One gorgeous spot, Monterey at the InterContinental Clement Hotel which was swanky. That’s where I shot yesterday’s outfit photos (HERE). It was a quick, mellow, last minute trip. I was hoping it would alleviate a few things rolling around in my head but unfortunately it didn’t. It was a nice and generous reprieve before my work schedule gets hectic, starting on Monday. A special thank you to the person who took care of my travels, etc. this week…you are the best!
