Outfit Purpose: Stylist at Work (yes, I actually wore this styling a photo shoot for 8 hours)
Style Savvy: Pairing print on print today because I had my stylist mad hatter on while working. Why this works…red, black and white for one. When mixing prints, make sure each piece has a common color and one separate has bolder graphics while the other smaller. Like my Paige denim jeans with small bicycles sparsely scattered paired with my vintage DVF (Diane Von Furstenberg) shirt with a bolder print. Leather moto jacket, check. Strappy ankle heels, check. Done and done. You’re outfit is complete.

What’s Going On: What an inspirational day of styling fantasy for a fashion editorial magazine spread. The grounds, the props, the outfits, the hair, the makeup, the lighting … it couldn’t have been a more magical day for this photo shoot. The whole production and editorial team were amazing to work with. I didn’t want the day to end. I wanted to play dress up some more. I’m marveled at how much I LOVE doing this. I was so in my element today fo sho.
After settling in at home tonight, the wear and tear of the day hit me but I still had to edit my outfit photos for this blog post and write it. The one thing missing is that I wanted to call my recent love and share with him how I “killed it” today. He would’ve been so proud. Sharing in these life moments with someone you love is one of the reasons why I want a relationship and marriage again. As my Chinese mother always says, “Two is better than one.” I tend to agree.
