DAY 148: Shop My Closet Weekend Chic

Mood: Easy Like Sunday Morning / Nighttime Blues

Weather: The Most Gorgeous Day this Fall

Outfit Purpose: Sunday Funday

Style Savvy: Sometimes I never know if an outfit pairing is going to work unless I try it all on. Savvy style tip ladies, just try it on … I know it can be a drag but you’ll be pleasantly surprised at what you discover. For instance, I had no clue this Punk Royal utility jacket would work with my KOCH charcoal grey sweatshirt and Paige Marley emerald jeans along with my Zara studded ankle boots but it did! Here’s the reason, every piece has a grey undertone. Most of you are probably thinking, “WTF? Now I have to learn color theory?” The answer is “No” but you can take note from me and if you have questions either email me, leave a comment below or ask me via Twitter @Savvynista.

Personal Style: Weekend Chic

Thoughts: Yes, I was feeling easy as in mellow and light pretty much all day until I got home and my mind started cranking. It likes to do this every so often. You know make stories up that aren’t true or try to convince me of things that aren’t real. I miss my old life. I miss the security, the routine, my home, my city, my friends, everything right now. I also miss my mom. I know, I’m an adult woman missing her mom (she’s been in Taiwan). Aye carumba! I’m still grieving. I’m mourning the death of my old life basically. I know I’ve been creating a new one but it feels so strange and foreign to me. I almost threw in the towel on this challenge tonight. I came so close. Not with shopping but with the blogging. I need some major motivation, a nudge, a sign of some sorts to get me through this week.

  1. Don’t worry girl, I’m not throwing in the towel! Sometimes what’s on my mind doesn’t mean I’ll take the action. Thanks for reading and commenting!
