DAY 139: Shop My Closet Flirty For Fall

Mood: Happy

Weather: Partial drizzle, partial sun

Outfit Purpose: Stylist at Work

Style Savvy: Today’s outfit can take one from day to night. Typically when I have appointments and events starting early in the morning until evening hours, I like to wear an outfit that I won’t have to change out or change up too many accessories. Sometimes it’s not possible but today it worked out brilliantly. I love discovering local brands and emerging brands from other countries. Over the past 2 years, Australian designers have caught my stylist eye. The lace detailed top by NEUW an Aussie brand, I paired with my graphic flirty skirt by local St. Louis designer Suzanne Lay (another SL skirt also worn on Day 75 HERE). My jewelry and heels combine silver, black/white and crystal/diamond details. For the finishing touch my NYC street vendor cat-eyed sunnies and luxe buttery leather Safi Miran handbag. P.S. “yes” that’s my old wedding ring I’m wearing on my right hand … it’s just too pretty not to wear sometimes.

Personal Style: Chic-n-Flirty

What’s Going On: TGIF! Happy Friday! From yesterday’s blah mood to a new day feeling spritely. I think it’s because I’m finally home and know I’ll be here for at least 2 weeks straight. I feel more grounded. Well, I can officially and publicly say that I’m the new Stylist for FINE Magazine in San Diego. The uber chic colored glossy monthly magazine with great fashion editorials which I’ll be styling! I’m also on set filming for something tomorrow but I can’t elaborate until I get the green light.

On Day 135 HERE I wrote about being open and vulnerable, and coincidentally I stumbled upon this Facebook posting below:

“Vulnerability is the only Authentic State.
Being vulnerable means being open,
for wounding, but also for pleasure.
Being open to the wounds of life means
also being open to the bounty and beauty.
Don’t mask or deny your vulnerability:
it is your greatest asset.
Be vulnerable: quake and shake in your boots with it.
The new goodness that is coming to you, in the form of people, situations, and things can only come to you when you are vulnerable and open..”

  1. I love everything but the bra!! I think maybe you should have either worn a solid dark bra, a flesh colored solid bra or a teddy to cover the bra…….Just my thoughts.
