Clean Skincare with VERSED

Skincare that’s vegan, effective and affordable? That’s what VERSED is all about and I’m all in. I was sent samples of their products over a month ago and have been using them daily. I typically like to test skincare products for at least 3 weeks if not longer to give my final thoughts of how they worked for my skin type.

Remember, everyone has different skin challenges so what works for me might not work for you. I do my best to explain, that way you can make your own decision to try something I’ve tested.

MY SKIN TYPE: Dry, fine lines, pigmentation, occasional breakouts, loss of some collagen and elasticity (I’m 48). But my skin “health” is age 35.

START WITH A CLEAN FACE

I’m going to take you through how I use each product from start to finish. A clean face especially before bedtime is key to keeping that youthful glow and your skin healthy.

First step, I use VERSED Day Dissolve Cleansing Balm by scooping a dime size out on my finger tip then massage into my face. I’ve been a fan of cleansing balms for the past couple years and this one has a reserved spot in my beauty cabinet.

The Eucalyptus and clove leaf oil wipe away makeup and impurities without stripping moisture from skin, using an oil-based formula that softens into a milky texture, rinsing away with no residue left behind. This is great for all skin types.

Another cleansing balm I love is It Cosmetics Bye Bye Makeup Melting Balm.

Remember, if you have oily skin, you don’t want to strip moisture from your skin. If you do, your skin will work double time to produce moisture (oil) to replace what you stripped away. That’s why many people with oily skin continue to have oily skin.

THAT EXTRA EXTRA

Sometimes I need a little extra after cleansing, like a great essence, micellar water or toner. I’ve been DYING to try VERSED Baby Cheeks All-in-One Hydrating Milk ever since the brand launched. So far, HIGH FIVE on this one.

I even use this as a pick me up in the middle of the day if my face is feeling a bit drab. Too bad it doesn’t come in a spray mist.

This multi-tasking milk erases all traces of makeup, restores skin’s natural pH balance, and removes post-cleanse hard water residue. Its milky texture leaves skin velvety-soft and residue-free, thanks to Algae Extract, Bamboo Extract and Coconut Water. Suitable for combination, dry, normal, and sensitive skin.

THE EYES COME FIRST

Not many women (or men) know that you want to start with eye care FIRST before putting on all your face potions. I didn’t know until I was educated by a few skincare specialists.

Since I tend to have dark circles, little puffiness in the morning and slight wrinkles around my eyes, I’ll spend good money on eye care products and treatments.

I’m thoroughly impressed with VERSED Zero-G Smoothing Eye Cream. This little pot of peachy goodness leaves a soft-focus finish with an illuminating effect thanks to ethically sourced Mica.

I can’t get enough of this eye cream, hands down my favorite alongside Shiseido Benefiance eye cream.

NOW COMES THE FACE

Let’s talk about skincare night routine here. After using the products above, I then apply Versed The Shortcut Overnight Facial Peel. It’s suggested to use 1-3 times a week by itself. If you have dry skin like me, use a hydrating serum first then apply peel over serum.

I tried both ways and I definitely needed a hydrating serum underneath this peel. When I first tried this overnight peel on its own, I felt my skin was too try in the morning. Therefore I didn’t see a positive result.

From some of the reviews I’ve read online, people with acne love this peel. This formula also works well on sensitive skin which I have. After using it, I had no irritation or redness.

I’ve tried several brands that make an Overnight or Leave In Mask/Peel and for my dry skin the one I love the most is the Qi Energyâ„¢ Ginseng Sleep Mask from Beauty Pie.

LET’S NOT FORGET YOUR BODY

I’m a big fan of using a delicious body butter and/or body oil all over my skin after a nice steamy shower. I’ve been using VERSED Keep It Supple Body Oil daily and forgot how much I love a hydrating body oil that smells heavenly.

This decadent moisturizing oil is a blend of Calendula Flower Extract, Vitamin E, Sweet Almond, Macadamia Nut and Coconut oils. It has an easy spray application and absorbs quickly, eliminating the waiting period to get dressed.

Years ago, I religiously used J.R. Watkins Body Oil Mist in Coconut & Honey and LOVED it! I don’t know why I stopped using it. BUT now I have my NEW favorite, this one from Versed.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Out of the five products I’ve been using from VERSED, my favorites are the Baby Cheeks Hydrating Milk, Zero-G Eye Cream and Keep It Supple Body Oil. Let me know if you’ve used any of their products and your thoughts.
